finally did that drawing of steph and cass on steph’s wedding day. i’ve been meaning to do that for about a year, lol. i keep needing to remind myself that it’s okay if it doesn’t look professional yet, i’ll get there someday -_-;;
“I’m dying of nerves, Cass!”
“You don’t look like it.”
Steph is a rebel and wanted her wedding dress to be purple. Cass is her maid of honor ♥

So you know how when Wally was like “What kind of boyfriend would I be if I forgot Valentine’s Day for the… fifth year in a row.” or whatever and Artemis is all, “Well I remembered…” etc. etc.
Well what if like not just Wally forgot Valentine’s Day? What if Artemis forgot it too? (I don’t think she’d be the kind to count down to V-Day tbh.)
And so they’re both these huge losers who call each other on Feburary 15th and Wally’s like, “So all the candy’s on sale now.”
And Artemis is like “What?”
“Yeah all the candy’s on sale because yesterday was—AW MAN.”
“I can’t believe you forgot Valentine’s Day!”
“You forgot it too, don’t blame this all on me!”
“Well you’re the boyfriend you’re supposed to remember.”
“You’re the girlfriend, aren’t you supposed to, like, pretend to think about breaking up with me? Not that I want you to think about breaking up with me, pretend or not.”
“We’re idiots. Happy day after Valentine’s. I’ll buy you a big bag of kisses tomorrow. And the other kind too.”“Best. Girlfriend. Ever.”
“Pretty much.”
TBH, I don’t see how ANYONE could forget Valentines Day. Not because it matters so much more than things like birthdays or anniversaries, but because the entire country is pink for a month leading up to it. It’s like if October drank pepto-bismol then threw up. Plus they’re in school, which is full of people celebrating. Neither of them missing something that major makes sense to me. I don’t like Wally, but even I think he’s not dumb enough to forget 4 years in a row.
I like this scenario :) and it totally makes sense for both of them lol.
I would agree that last season it would frankly be a little OOC for either of them to care that much - but Artemis poured a serious amount of effort into this year and it wasn’t mentioned that that was unusual?
I just think there would have been a “me, too,” and Wally wouldn’t have sounded apologetic, and brought up what kind of “boyfriend he would be” - I mean, wouldn’t Artemis have said “and what kind of girlfriend would I be?” :/
IDEK with these two.
A “me too” would have been half a second.
But like I said, Artemis doesn’t really SEEM like the kind of girl who would care. But she also doesn’t seem like she wouldn’t tease Wally for calling her “babe.” I really expected her to playfully roll her eyes at that or something.
/maggie just finds fault with everything, sorry
Hmmm… though honestly, ‘she went through a lot of effort’? For this year? It seemed to me like she just bought a shit-ton more food than usual. I mean, your usual grocery store trip, plus a bit more? So that’s not like… she baked him a six-hour-long cake, put sticky notes all over the house so he’d follow the trail or something major like that. Honestly, her ‘gift’ seemed sort of… low-key, casual to me. Still a gift, and catered to him, but nothing that special.

Oh my god why does no one understand this? Sherlock is not a gay postive show
SHERLOCK IS NOT A GAY POSITIVE SHOW
SHERLOCK IS NOT A GAY POSITIVE SHOW
SHERLOCK IS NOT A GAY POSITIVE SHOW
The closest thing in Sherlock to queer representation was Irene Alder who said she was gay and then fell in love with Sherlock. (make of that what you will.)
The whole show is about two heterosexual men. And one of those men, Watson, spends about half an hour each episode telling everyone ever that he and Sherlock are not a couple.
That is not gay representation.
I repeat: that is not gay representation.
And fuck you if you think that is representation.
A show having a large slash fandom does not count as representation.
I’m sure there a many legitimate criticisms of Elementary, but accusing the show of being homophobic because Watson is played a women is not one of them.
I cannot say this enough times: Sherlock is not a gay positive show.
Sherlock is not a progressive show in terms of representation. It is about two white cis heterosexual men solving crimes.
The fact that Elementary has a women of color as a main character pretty much already makes it more progressive than Sherlock.
And furthermore if you watch Elementary you are under no obligation to ship Sherlock/Watson. I’m sure that there will be at least one other dude you can find.
And listen, Sherlock is a good show and Elementary existing is not gonna change that. You are under no obligation to watch it. You are under no obligation to even acknowledge it.
I’m probably not the best equipped to counter this or argue anything, but I’m just going to state my viewpoint. Sherlock is not a true gay representation show, alright. But it made me think about sexuality, and not because of the fandom. It made me question heteronormativity because hell, Sherlock does not act like a typical heterosexual male at all. Irene being gay and then falling in love with Sherlock didn’t discount, to me, the fact that she was gay. It taught me that sexuality is fluid, and that labels are sometimes completely useless because the heart does what it wants. It made me wonder if, despite the fact that Watson tries (keyword) so hard to get with a girl, he is in fact actually heterosexual. He could be the representation of a man who is (even to himself) in the closet and struggling with what he’s known all his life, put up against Sherlock, who goes against so much of what he’s previously known. More importantly, the show, not the fandom made me cheer for the two of them as anything, be it gay partners, platonic life-partners, or even, in Sherlock’s case, asexual partners. It made me think, ‘Yeah, that’s okay, why can’t they be?’
So maybe it’s not the ideal gay representation show. Maybe it’s not gay representation at all. But did it serve a progressive purpose? I think so. At least to me it did.
So thanks for the offer, but I’d rather you not ask to fuck me just because I saw something in this show that you disagree with.
